In 1962, Goodhope Street was filled with broad Australian accents or accents tinged with Portuguese words or in this case, German. Klaus never walked up the hill to the Five Ways pub. He led a silent life, that is, until October 11.
The two-storey terrace housed two families. The Rabes and Corpas. Quiet folk whose lives attracted neither scandal nor headlines. But that morning, four blasts, not heard by a living soul, changed all that.
